Coins left exchanges most of the month, then reversed hard in the final week. Row 3 is just the sum of Rows 1 and 2.
Three Observations
What changed: The 1,000–10,000 BTC band added 17,258 BTC in a week, its biggest weekly move, reversing a 10,216 BTC decline from the prior month; the 100–1,000 BTC band did the opposite, giving back 6,551 BTC after posting the largest 30-day gain overall. Smaller wallets grew too with the 1–10 BTC band posted the best percentage gain of any band over 30 days (+1.23%), and sub-1 BTC wallets edged higher in the same window, though at a much smaller scale than the large-holder swings.
Did it hold up: Not smoothly, the 1,000–10,000 BTC jump came almost entirely from one day (Sept 17, +18,393 BTC), then partly reversed; exchange inflows were steadier, running positive for six straight days (Sept 15–20).
What's uncertain: The data can't confirm whether the jump reflects new buying or coins simply being consolidated into larger outputs, and the exchange inflow streak alone doesn't prove anyone's selling.
